Refund Policy

Comedy Lounge Pty Ltd (ABN 17 111 156 935), referred to as Comedy Lounge, we, us, or our, owns, operates, and maintains this website and its content.

1. Introduction

1.1. This policy is to be read in conjunction with our Terms and Conditions. Any capitalised terms not defined in this policy have the meaning set out in the Terms and Conditions.

1.2. In this Refund Policy, ‘Credit Note‘ means credit of a dollar amount which may be used on the Comedy Lounge website, provided to you as a coupon code sent to the email address specified on your account, subject to the terms set out in this policy.

2. Event Cancellations or Postponements

2.1. It is your sole responsibility to keep up to date with any event cancellations or rescheduled events. We will use reasonable endeavours to notify you (such as via email or other contact details provided by you at checkout). However, we cannot guarantee that you will be informed of such cancellations before the date of the event.

2.2. Postponed Events: If an event is postponed (e.g., moved to a different date or time at the same venue), including due to weather restrictions, you will be provided with the option to reschedule to another show or receive a full refund via the same method of payment.

2.4. Cancelled Events due to Other Reasons: If an event is cancelled for any reason, we will provide you with the option of a full refund, a Credit Note for the value of your ticket, or reschedule your tickets to another show of your choice for the same value.

3. Refunds

3.1. Tickets purchased directly from Comedy Lounge are refundable up to 7 days prior to the event date. Tickets are non-refundable within 7 days of the event, except where required by Australian Consumer Law.

3.2. If a show is cancelled, ticket holders will be offered the option to receive a full refund or reschedule their tickets to another show.

3.3. We will provide a Credit Note, refund, or replacement of your ticket if required by Australian Consumer Law.

3.4. No Refunds: Subject to Australian Consumer Law, you will not be entitled to a refund if:

  • You change your mind.
  • You are no longer able to attend the event, including if you have COVID-19.
  • A support act for an event is altered.
  • The event is only partially performed.
  • You accidentally booked the wrong date or time.
  • There is a change of lineup.
  • You are late to the event and entry has been closed.

3.5. If you are refused entry or ejected from the venue at the direction of Comedy Lounge staff, management, or contractors, you will not be entitled to a refund if:

  • You engage in harassing, disorderly, offensive, or abusive conduct, including physical or verbal language.
  • You display visible signs of intoxication.
  • You are in possession of alcohol purchased or obtained outside of Comedy Lounge.

4. Eventbrite Tickets

Tickets sold via Eventbrite may be subject to additional policies as outlined by Eventbrite. We encourage customers to review Eventbrite’s policies as they may impose certain conditions that apply in addition to this refund policy.
